The upper chapel is almost all glass: 15 windows about 15 m tall and a rose window at the west end. Sunlight through the south windows throws blue and red patches across the floor and the opposite wall. The north windows face north-north-east and get no direct sun in visiting hours, which is why one side always looks darker.
